Jon grew up in a Christian home and came to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ by age four. Joni, the daughter of a pastor, also received Christ at five. Both grew to love the Lord and desire to serve Him.

In 1992 Jon joined the Army National Guard. God used those six years to develop in him a passion to reach the men he served beside with the good news of Jesus Christ.

Jon has served as an associate pastor since 2000 with Joni by his side using her gifts and abilities to enhance the ministry.

Jon and Joni have four children. Katie, Meghan, Irelynd, and J.D.
